Description
The Process
During vacuum forming, a sheet of Softlon is heated until it becomes pliable. It is then placed over a mold, and a vacuum is applied to pull the material tightly around the mold’s surface. As the Softlon cools, it retains the new shape, creating a perfectly formed insert that is lightweight yet incredibly strong.
Grades Designed for Vacuum Forming
Our Softlon product range includes specific grades that have been engineered with the vacuum forming process in mind. These grades have an optimized balance of heat resistance and formability, ensuring excellent performance and consistent results. They allow for deep drawing and high-definition detail, creating perfect replicas of the mold’s contours.
